About Us
Steve Strasburg has spent his entire life around cars, shops, and tracks. His father and step-father were both race car drivers.
After a short hiatus from racing to join the Air Force, Steve worked in technical support for Lefthander Chassis for 5 years. From there, he became crew chief for several drivers in the Midwest.
He then started his own company (Race Car Help) and specialized in suspension systems for late model race cars.
It was during this time that Steve began getting hired as a consultant for race teams, including Trent Snyder (ASA Late Model Series) and TK Racing with Eddie Hoffman Jr. driving (ASA Late Model Series).
In 2015, Steve moved to North Carolina where, over the next 8 years, he held positions with JR Motorsports, Kyle Busch Motorsports, and Dale Earnhardt Inc, specializing in shocks, design and engineering work, and even as a super late model crew chief (for Christopher Bell).
In 2019, Steve founded Strasburg Performance LLC (while still working for DEI).
The business blossomed quickly and he went full time with Strasburg Performance LLC shortly after.
This allowed him to focus on where he could best help race teams – shocks and consulting services.
