The Penske 7173 Steel Shock is the latest short track offering from Penske Racing Shocks.  The Penske 7173 Steel Shock was designed specifically for racers that are looking to optimize their shock program.  It is a shock designed to perform with high-quality damping components.  The shocks consistency, reliability, and unlimited tuning options is the same found in any Penske Racing Shock.  The shock features our standard 1.72” bore and 0.5” shaft, hard chromed for durability.  It also uses our ever popular 7300 series aluminum body cap and base valve.  Stroke configurations available are 7”, 9”, and 10” and it is compatible with standard coil-over kits.

The 7173 is a high-performance alternative to other steel shocks for teams looking to have a competitive advantage.  The 7173-steel shock can come in adjustable and non-adjustable shock configurations.  There are many different piston options to meet the high demands of racing surfaces.
